McFall, Dawson, and Sherrill Honored at VB Senior Night!

The Lady Lions finished the regular season with a resounding victory over Maryville Christian (25-9, 25-4) and in the process honored their three seniors.  Olivia McFall, Elizabeth Dawson and Sidney Sherrill took a moment to stand with mom and dad and reflect on all the years of hard work and sacrifice.

Olivia McFall
Escorted by her parents Michael and Kim McFall Olivia serves as the team manager in 2018.  Typical of her time here at CCS Olivia has been a leader and a servant.  A cheerleader, former player for volleyball Olivia also serves on SGA, Yearbook staff, and the National Honor Society. Her class mates voted her Most Christ Like.

Olivia told the crowd the value that CCS has inspired in her is to keep going no matter what.  It always gets better.  Walking out on faith, knowing God has a plan, and through hard times keep your eyes on Jesus.

Olivia is still deciding what college to attend but wants to become a teacher.

Elizabeth Dawson
Escorted by her parents Dana and Sherilyn Dawson, Elizabeth has been at CCS for 14 years and has played volleyball for CCS for the past 7 years.  She has been a starter for 5 years and a team captain for the past two year.

A member of SGA, Science Olympiad, National Honor Society, an AP Scholar and on the "A" Honor Roll she has won many academic and diligence awards including being All District in Volleyball.  She has competed at the State Tournament the last 3 years and hopes they can make it all 4 years of her high school career.

Elizabeth thanked Coach Hochevar and all her amazing teacher for encouraging her to strive for greatness and enjoy the hard work that it takes to achieve it.

She plans on majoring in Engineering and Spanish in college next fall.

Sydney Sherrill

Vice President of National Honor Society, member of the Homecoming Court she has been an Academic All American the past two seasons.  She has also been named the Heart of a Lion Award winner voted by her classmates and teachers.

Sydney credits CCS for helping her grow in her relationship with God, to serve others and challenging her to be her best on the court and in the classroom.  She cherishes the friendships she has made here at CCS.  She loved the Mission of Hope senior project that she is involved with and says it has been a highlight of her senior year.

Sydney will continue her volleyball career as a scholarship player at East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, TN.

The Athletic Department at CCS would like to thank these girls for representing us so well and for showing us what we can be here at CCS with hard work and service to others.  Thank you girls!
