CCS Lion Swimmers and Grace LaCharite Shine at UT Ray Bussard Invitational

Nearly 2500 swimmers from across Tennessee and Georgia descended upon the campus of the University of Tennessee in Knoxville for the Ray Bussard Invitational.  I was a great day for the second year swim program for Concord Christian.  We ended the day with TONS of best times, lots of experience, fun, and food, AND even  few FIRST PLACE FINISHES!!! 

Here are a few amazing highlights from best times and top 20 finishes...

Elizabeth Alford-ALL best times, 2 and 3 sec drops in every event!

Jacob Lane, River Bailey, Lizzie Kerr, Evie Wade, and Elijah Williams-All put up several best times each!

Kolby Leach dropped time and got an 11th and 18th place in his events.

Jackson Vineyard swam all best times and placed 4th, 6th, and 8th in his events.

and GRACE LaCHARITE swam all best times and WON FIRST PLACE in 2 of her 3 ind events and placed 3rd in her other.

Boys Medley Relay of River Bailey, Jacob Lane, Jackson Vineyard, and Kolby Leach dropped time and placed 8th overall and the free relay placed 9th overall.

Girls Medley Relay of Ella Lewis, Grace LaCharite, Lizzie Kerr, and Keelyn Chamberlin dropped time and finished 13th overall and their Free Relay placed 12th overall.  

For the High School: 

Lake Bailey, Greyson Petersen, Mason Reed, and Kendall Bodie all dropped a lot of time in their events,

Kade Leach finished 18th in his 50 free,

Nathan Armour finished 20th in his 100 breaststroke

Our Men's Medley Relay of Jacob Armour, Nathan Armour, Connor Langford, and Kade Leach finished 14th overall and their Free Relay placed 6th overall!

It has been incredible to see the results of the hard work our swimmers have put as they prepare for the City Championships in January!  Go Lions!
